Narcoota lifts sale top
The top price of the Narcoota Poll Merino Studs 24th Annual on-property Ram Sale on Thursday, 13th September was higher than previous years. Matt Ward, Elders Eudunda conducted the Auction with assistance from Rodger Lorraine and Graeme Hann. Rams were well grown out and Tim Grosser, studmaster received favourable comments from the clients about the long white crimpy wool. This year, 28 Rams were sold at an average of $534.00. Walkerville Pastoral, Lameroo paid the top price of $1040.00 and took another ram for $1000.00. The top price ram was a large ram weighing 106kg at 16months and testing 20.7 microns.Buyers included Phil Sobey of Roonka Pastoral, Blanchetown who received an Elders Outback pack as highest volume buyer. Local buyers were M.A & C.R Schutz and G.C & S.K Doecke. Buyers included clients from Brinkworth, Karoonda, Black Hill and Angaston. Tim Grosser said that the family enjoy the support from buyers and on-lookers and thank them for their support by taking an interest.
